Orthodontics / Invisalign

Orthodontic Treatment is a treatment method applied to all age groups whose teeth are crooked and uncomfortable with their appearance.

It is a special treatment method preferred to have a smoother and more aesthetic smile with orthodontic treatments and to have the most ideal function and speech.

Situations where Orthodontic Treatment is Necessary

  • Crowded teeth and interdental spaces,
  • Inconsistencies between the face and jaws, and between the lower and upper jaws,
  • Severe crowding that causes excessive tartar and decay by disrupting oral hygiene,
  • Excessive gingival appearance (gummy smile),
  • The mouth not being closed completely due to mouth breathing,
  • Congenital tooth disorders and speech difficulties caused by swallowing,
  • In cases where there is a one percent asymmetry and the lips are difficult to close,
  • Crowding problems due to early or late extraction of milk teeth.

Orthodontic treatment is done by two methods.
1. Classical Wire Treatment: It is orthodontics that is performed using brackets attached to the anterior and posterior surfaces of the teeth. These brackets are connected with metal or rubber wires and thus, function. Brackets can be made of special alloys, transparent sapphire, and tooth-colored porcelain.

2. Transparent Plaque Treatments (Invisalign): Transparent plaque is a modern solution that is digitally designed and produced as a custom-made series to correct our teeth. Thanks to their transparent and thin structure, they are not visible in the mouth and thus, have an extremely aesthetic appearance. It is the most preferred treatment method in recent years due to its aesthetic appearance and ease of use.

The number of plaques is determined according to the tooth structure and the person’s orthodontic problem. Each plate is used for an average of 18-20 hours per day and 1-2 weeks, and then a new plate is used. The responsibility of using the plates (attachment and removal) is the responsibility of the patient. In addition, plaques must be removed in processes such as tooth brushing and care.

Which Treatment Method Should I Have?
The first step is to determine whether plaque treatment is suitable for you by our orthodontist. In severe disorders and in cases where the position of the teeth needs to change a lot, a classical single treatment may be more appropriate. When you apply to Dört Yapak Clinic, you will be told which method is suitable for you. You can call us and apply to our clinic for analysis and information.
